Adelaide city, south australia. Not living in the city I don't know if it always goes up this high,or if there was a malfunction, but I do know that we got a bit wet, seeing as it was a bit windy. The 'paper' boats floating on the river are a public art installation called ‘Talking Our Way Home’. They're made of glass and are printed all over with replicas of letters from the first settlers to their families back in great britain and other parts of the world.

Looks a bit warm, probably nice getting sprayed with water. Nice to have a fountain, even if it all has gone a bit wonky

@tim ayers: Yes, they have several but smaller than this. It was warm..it usually is in Adelaide.

@Jill: Hi Jill! fancy seeing you here :) the boats are really something, you should see them close up, very interesting idea and I love the idea of the paper boats floating away downstream to a new destination. They're illuminated from the inside too.
i like it that the fountain isn't perfectly contained...it seems like a very pleasant place

@gbe: It is, it has paddle boats and a lovely walk, beautiful birds and swans, it's very nice.

I would love to see those boats... I will admit that I always enjoyed reading the history of convicts etc.

i think they shoot up that high. i've never been that close to it when it was 'in action'.
